Tickets & Reservations

How do I buy tickets and choose a film? chevron down

Buying tickets is easy online. Choose a ticket for daytime or evening. During checkout, select the film you’d like to see. You’ll receive two tickets via email: one for the museum and one for the film. Double-check the date and time!

For evening shows, you’ll only receive a film ticket as the museum is closed in the evening.

Can I reschedule if I can’t make it? chevron down

Yes, you can reschedule your ticket to another day up until the day before your visit. Contact us at info@museon-omniversum.nl.

What if I want to see a different film? chevron down

No problem! You can change your film at the ticket counter, subject to availability.

What if I lose my tickets? chevron down

Check your spam folder first. If you still can’t find them, contact us at info@museon-omniversum.nl.

Payments & Discounts

How can I pay online? chevron down

You can pay using iDeal, Visa, Mastercard, or Maestro.

Can I pay with cash at the museum? chevron down

No, Museon-Omniversum is pin-only.

Can I use my Museum Card or other passes? chevron down

Yes, the Museum Card gives you free access to the museum and one film per day (until 5 PM). Want to see more films? Pay for an extra ticket at the counter. The Museum Card is not valid for evening programs.

Other passes, like the Ooievaarspas and Rotterdampas, can also be redeemed online. Check tickets and prices for a full list of accepted passes and discounts.

Can I buy a Museum Card at Museon-Omniversum? chevron down

Yes! You’ll get a temporary card that’s valid immediately. Register your card later on the Museum Card website.

Films & Shows

How long are the films? chevron down

Our dome films last about 45 minutes and have no intermission.

When should I arrive for a film? chevron down

Be at the theater at least 10 minutes before the show starts. After the start, entry is not permitted.

Are the films in Dutch? chevron down

Yes, all daytime dome films are in Dutch.

Want to watch in English? Use the Mobile Connect app to follow the film in English. Don’t forget to bring your own headset!

What is the evening program? chevron down

In the evening, enjoy dome films, cinema-sized movies, and live events in the Dome. The museum is closed during evening hours.

Practical Information

Does Museon-Omniversum have a cloakroom? chevron down

Yes, there’s an unattended cloakroom and lockers (no coin required) in the museum.

Can I take photos in the museum and Dome? chevron down

Photos are allowed in the museum, but no flash, please! Flash can harm our collections and exhibits.

In the Dome, photography and video recording are not permitted during films.

What if I lose something during my visit? chevron down

No worries! Email us at info@museon-omniversum.nl, and we’ll help you track it down.

What are the house rules? chevron down

To ensure everyone has a great time, please follow these guidelines:

  • Museon-Omniversum is family-friendly, but no running, roughhousing, or shouting.
  • Eating and drinking are only allowed in the restaurants and foyers.
  • Leave large bags, wet coats, and umbrellas in the cloakroom or lockers.
  • Pets are not allowed, except for certified assistance dogs. Please inform us in advance.
  • Photos are allowed in the museum (no flash), but not during films or shows in the Dome.
  • Be at the theater 10 minutes before your film starts. Late arrivals cannot be admitted. You can reschedule to another show the same day (subject to availability). No refunds are provided.

With Kids

How long does a visit with kids take? chevron down

A visit usually takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Add a film or activity, and it’s 3-4 hours.

Is Museon-Omniversum fun for kids under 4? chevron down

Yes, but younger kids may need more guidance in the museum. For films, consider whether they’ll enjoy the big screen and sound. Kids under 4 are free if they sit on a parent’s lap.

Are there activities just for kids? chevron down
